Helen Keller is a shining example of a physically handicapped person who conquered her disabilities and become famous all over the world. She was blind , deft and mute but this did not prevent her from pursuing higher education and helping other people especially the blind.
Helen was a normal child when she was born in 1880 in Tuscumbia, Albania USA,. Before she was two years old, she had a serious illness which was diagnosed, as brain fever. This destroyed her sight and hearing. furthermore, she was unable to speak and was entirely shift off from the world
Her father took her to Dr. Alexander Graham Bell who advised them to write to Perkins Institution for the blind in Boston anne Sullivan came to Helen's lifes. through Miss Sullivans patience and dedication, Helen learned to write on a special typewriter when she was ten years old by the time she was sixteen.,she could speak well enough to go to Rad chiffe college , where she graduated with honors after college to become involved in bettering the conditions for the blind in underdeveloped and waravage countries.She recieved prestigious awards and wrote a number of books among them. "The Story of my Life" She died in 1968.
